About Mediation
We help you avoid Court,
reduce costs,
reduce stress,
and move your family forwards.
What is family mediation?
Mediation is a guided discussion where we help you come to an agreement.
We will assist you both to consider all angles and provide you with the greatest chance of reaching agreement and avoiding going to Court.
What happens at mediation?
Depending on your preference, you can talk to the other party directly, not see them at all, talk via telephone, or any combination of the above.
We are equipped for no contact mediation by teleconference or video-conference. We are excited to e-meet you by video or telephone at your preference.
The first phase is discussing the circumstances of your dispute, we then brainstorm ideas and discuss possible options. If agreement is reached we will help you document your agreement.
We assess all matters prior to mediation.
If there is family violence, risk of abuse, or other circumstances it may not be appropriate to participate in a mediation.
If mediation is not appropriate we may issue a s60I mediation certificate to confirm mediation was not appropriate.
A certificate that the matter is not appropriate for mediation may be issued urgently depending on the circumstances.
We will initially invite the other party to participate in mediation within 7 days.
If they do not respond or fail to agree for mediation we issue a s60I mediation certificate upon request as appropriate in the circumstances.
